Erin Wheeler

Alternate Commissioner

Commissioner Wheeler is a lifelong resident of New Jersey who currently resides in Brick with her husband and bulldog. She is a proud product of the New Jersey Public School System, including The College of New Jersey, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Commissioner Wheeler also obtained a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Georgian Court University.

Commissioner Wheeler is a high school chemistry and physics teacher for 15 years, she currently teaches in the Monmouth County Vocational School District. As president of her local teachers’ union, she advocates for members and works to resolve complex problems.

Commissioner Wheeler is also a member of Clean Ocean Action, the American Association of Chemistry Teachers, the N.J. Science Teachers Association, the National Organization of Women, the Women’s Political Caucus of N.J. and a certified Girl Scout Leader.
