Projects designed to conserve natural resources at the authority's facilities:

• Aquifer Storage and Recovery System. (River water that is treated and pumped into a well for storage and future use).
• Using captured rainwater to augment landscape irrigation.
• Installation of low-flow faucet aerators and toilets to conserve water use. Geothermal heating and cooling.
• Installation of energy efficient lighting.
• Consistent facility maintenance to identify and correct energy-loss problems like leaks and drafts.
