Gregory M. Flynn

Chairman

Commissioner Flynn was born in Manhattan and grew up in upstate New York. He graduated from Warwick Valley High school. After high school he served as a Navy Corpsmen with the 1st CAG 3rd Marine division in Vietnam 1967-68.

Commissioner Flynn began his construction career as a draftsmen-estimator building homes and communities in Orange and Sullivan Counties, New York. He relocated to New Jersey in 1979 where he began working in the heavy construction equipment industry for several years. He went on to work as a field construction supervisor for Leisure Technology in several of the Leisure retirement communities. He advanced to a project manager level with overall jobsite supervision responsibilities from land development through construction. Following this he continued to work for several large builders over the years as projects manager for both residential and commercial projects. He was employed by HOWCO Development Company as contracts administrator and spent the last 10 years as partner in a general contracting business in Ocean County.

He holds numerous licenses and has completed several extended construction education programs including RCS, Licensed NJ Builder, Home Improvement Contractor, Public Adjuster, and Lead Based Renovator, J.I. Case sales and Equipment operation. Commissioner Flynn has also completed New Jersey Construction Law courses.

Commissioner Flynn is currently retired and has been living in Brick since 1985. He enjoys spending time with his wife Linda, his son and daughter and his 5 Grand Children. He is a member of Lions Head Country Club, and enjoys trips on his Harley Davidson through the Pinelands.
